Kettles & Gas Appliances Ltd v Anthony Hordern & Sons Ltd (1934) 35 SR (NSW) 108

This case considered the equitable maxim of clean hands and whether or not a manufacturer of kettles could prevent a rival trader of selling a similar type of kettle and whether the rival trader could rely upon the defence of unclean hands on the basis that the manufacturer was misleading the public.
