Clayton v Le Roy [1911] 2 KB 1031

This case considered the issue of detinue and whether or not the actions of a shop owner who was in possession of a watch that had been stolen and given to him amounted to a wrongful refusal to deliver the watch to the true owner sufficient to amount to the tort of detinue.
