Qidwai v Brown [1984] 1 NSWLR 100

This case is a recent and authoritative case in relation to professional misconduct when viewed from the perspective of the profession itself.  This case involved a medical practitioner who was reprimanded for performing a surgical procedure that was normally not performed in a day surgery.  The medical practitioner was a very experienced surgeon.  The finding of professional misconduct was overturned on appeal.
