Caledonian Collieries Ltd. v Speirs (1957) 97 CLR 202

This case considered the issue of negligence and whether or not a company was negligent by not installing safety mechanisms on a train track which caused the death of a driver.  Furthermore, whether or not the risk of injury outweighed the cost of installing the mechanisms.
