Actors and Announcers Equity Association of Australia v Fontana Films (“Actors Equity Case”) (1982) 150 CLR 169
This case considered the corporations power of the Commonwealth under s.51(xx) and whether or not a law of the Trade Practices Act which restricted boycotts of trading corporations by unions was a valid exercise of the corporations power. The second issue was whether the actions of union officials could be regulated by the corporations power.
