Derry v Peek (1889) 14 App Cas 337

This case considered the issue of fraudulent misrepresentation and whether or not a statement made by a company to a potential shareholder amounted to fraudulent misrepresentation.  This case established a principle for fraudulent misrepresentation which has been referred to in many subsequent cases.
